When updating your wardrobe, it’s not always an overhaul you need. You can easily spruce up your whole look by adding key pieces to your wardrobe. I recently shopped at Zara and after a long hiatus, at River Island. I bought some great items from both stores that instantly make my outfit the focus of attention.
Items I bought from Zara:
A red Zara jumper from TRF
A pair of skinny jeans
A jacquard print jacket from TRF
A Leopard gem encrusted necklace
Shoes I bought from River Island:
River Island Saline Studded Boots in red
Items you may already own in your wardrobe:
Bright coloured trousers
Faux leather leggings
Now what I have prepared are more than 5 looks (and counting!!) that you can have with these items. With limited cash flow and everyone wanting a piece of the latest fads, it’s time to get creative ladies!! So here’s my take on what I bought and how I intend to wear it. The great thing about the jacquard print jacket is its multicoloured and can go with bright colours like electric blues to subdued beige. Dress it up with a dress or dress it down with a pair of skinny khakis- there is no compromise on style.
Here you go ladies. I hope this gives you inspiration for trying different looks with key pieces in your wardrobe. Enjoy!
Please keep on reading my blog and spread the love!! Xxxxxx
I can hear all the women screaming with delight. Lucky are those girls who are free or work near the venue. Ahh!! I wish I could go. But! doesn’t mean I won’t share! 😉 SO ladies!! Make sure you check out this sample sale by REISS. They are advertising prices starting from £10 so you’re sure to land a bargain. Book off those times in your diary ASAP!!
Shivering my way through this ruthless cold and snow makes me wish I was standing underneath the scorching sun. But come summer time, I’d be wishing the opposite. With designers and high street brands enticing us towards their Spring Summer 2012 collections, there is plenty to choose from the sales before forking out for the full priced stuff. I can be such a “cheapster” sometimes but I just love a good bargain AND even more when I’m getting something that will see me through the whole year and beyond!
So if you are one of those women who thinks ahead and is gearing up for Summers then I have found some bargains that you would love!
Pastels, bright palettes and nudes are the rhythm of SS2012. I think colour should be part of your wardrobe throughout the year! Especially in a cold and miserable weather like right now!
Anyway enough whining about the weather and back to what I have in store for you today.
So, I have picked out random pieces from different high street brands that would fit well in your wardrobe and that are quite versatile and interchangeable with other pieces from your wardrobe.

I love the combination of monochrome with a splash of red. I don’t like the idea of top to bottom monochrome. There needs to be a colour that cuts the whole look to ease it off the eyes. This look is great for going on a dinner or a date or even a girl’s night out. You will stand out with your chic and classy look!
REISS makes elegant and classy dresses that even the Duchess of Cambridge, Katherine, loves!
Gwen Stefani, after conquering the world of music, tried her hands on fashion and she has really made a mark for herself. Not only is she a very stylish lady who knows how to carry herself but she also designs some very kick ass shoes. (Just like her music!) Pair the whole outfit with a TopShop red chiffon clutch bag and finish it off with a cute pair of tights by Gipsy. The hearts along the back of the legs is just too adorable! (and quirky!) Keep the makeup clean and natural with an emphasis on the eyes and why not add a dash of red lipstick?
I love this look I styled. It looks so effortless and in typical East London accent “do I look bovered?” air to it! It’s really chic and you can imagine someone hanging out in Brick Lane or sipping tea at King’s Road, this look goes any where!
An item of clothing that is doing the rounds in all the clothing retailers is a Faux Fur Gillet. In shades of browns, black and grey- this piece of clothing gives an extra dose of glamour to your whole look. To be honest I am biased towards anything faux fur so this is definitely my favourite piece of clothing this winter season.
As it is still going to be quite chilly for the next 3-4 months, you can invest in this piece from retailers like TopShop, Zara, Reiss, H&M, Forever21 and even find them at big department stores like Debenhams.
TIPPED MONGOLIAN GILET Was £185.00 Now £90.00 @TOPSHOP
But if you don’t mind spending a bit extra and by “bit” I mean £155 to be exact, then you can buy this gorgeous “Fluffy” Feather Gilet from REISS online. It comes in two colours: Deer and Oil Blue. They’re both equally beautiful and will definitely enhance your wardrobe. The added glory is the silk sash that goes around your waist. LOVE IT!!
