This eyeliner is too good to not be mentioned which is why I just HAD to write a quick blog post and sing its praise. And no I’m not getting paid for it. I’m simply being nice- another one of my new year’s resolutions 🤔 (not!)

I always get so many compliments like gurrrl what kinda voodoo is this!! How does it stay in place so perfectly? No raccoons eyes, nothing!
Yep! That’s right. I’ve found the perfect eyeliner that does not only give you the flick you desire but also the strength of steel against smudging.

This is one eyeliner that does not fade or smudge! I’ve been using it over 2 years now and I keep on buying it over and over.

It’s none other than- Dip It eyeliner by Sleek Make up in Black colour.

I have worn it in high intensity gym workouts like Muay Thai, boxing, spinning, circuit training and running. Does it smudge?! Nope!

How much does it cost? Not more than £7 I believe. If you want a bargain you can also order it from Sleek’s website for £2.50 😏

Trust me I’ve tried all sorts of eye liners- the colour is vibrant and it stays. Praise the lawd!! 🙌🏼

Go order it now! 💃🏻 x

Hello HELLO all you gorgeous people! I know, I know! I’m really bad at updating my blog and need to be doing it more often.

So, how’s everyone been? I, for one, am LOVING the summer that London has finally been blessed with after such a long time. It felt like ages since I had worn any of my summer stuff and it felt weird walking out of my house without a jacket or any scarf. For a couple of days I felt like I had forgotten something… Even felt a little underdressed. But those days are truly behind me (hope I haven’t spoken too soon!)

So what have I been doing?? Well other than busy working and exploring London, every chance I got, nothing much. To be honest I’ve been quite lazy updating the blog. However I am quite active on my Twitter account (@NidaJehan) and Facebook Page (Miss TikTik) so please come say Hi over there! 🙂

Seems like London has a sale every other month and for someone like me, who LOVES to shop, is an excuse to shop even MORE! so I met up with my friends and we went to the Zara store on King’s Road just to see what was new there.

The thing with Zara sale is that they start with really high prices and the sale prices keep on dropping every two weeks and then every week. So much so that you end up buying tops for £9.99 that you previously paid £20, or more, for! Not cool Zara. So I always wait till the very last few weeks and have a browse.

I didn’t like much in terms of clothes but did end up buying some amazing accessories!

The one I am wearing at the moment is this dragon pendant which I bought for £5.99 (bargain!) it was originally for £20 or something ridiculous like that. I love it because its stylish, really adds an edge to your outfit and can jazz up a plain T shirt. It’s quite eye catching so really demands attention. It’s slightly heavy but then at least it’s not made of cheap plastic 🙂

So what’s your sale shopping been?? Share your bargains and tips! 🙂 till the next one lovelies xxx

Love my blingin’ owl ring I got from Irregular Choice and this surprisingly cool Zara bangle. Surprisingly because I don’t normally buy these things from Zara and lately they’ve been doing really well in that department. How did you accessorise your look today? Would love to see! 😀 xxxx

So it’s been more than a year since I started blogging. Slowly and steadily I have managed to keep on going because I love fashion and love talking about it. Lots of people have encouraged me along the way and I am proud of where I have gotten so far. This is just the beginning and there is still lots more work to be done but I wanted to take this time and thank every one of you who has liked my work and shown their support via different social media channels- wordpress, twitter or Facebook. A BIG SMACKER! and an even bigger THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for following my work. Please do spread the word!! I am always open to feedback and people looking to collaborate can always contact me 🙂 xxxx

What Ash’s heeled sneaker couldn’t achieve, Isabel Marant’s high top wedge trainers did! Now every where you go, whether its ZARA, Forever21, TOPSHOP, ALDO etc- they’re all stocking similar versions. I managed to get my special editions ones from ZARA which are almost the same as Isabel Marant except that they’re not! 😛 But hey I don’t have £400+ to spare on those shoes so I have to settle for the next best. If you are intrigued, check out the prices of the Isabel Marant’s high tops on eBAY and your heart may just temporarily stop beating.

To be fair, these shoes aren’t everyones cup of tea so please don’t buy them just to seem “fashionable” because they can also have the opposite affect!

This is how I styled mine:

Faux Fur Jacket: French Connection UK

Statement Collar Necklace: ASOS

Red Lippy: NARS matte lip pencil in RED SQUARE (LOVE IT!!)

You can shop similar high top sneakers from ZARA and other high street retailers. If you’ve got extra money to spare then ASH is also doing some funky ones (bottom two).

So!! How have my lovely followers/readers been recently? London is fast becoming the North/South Pole (whichever you prefer) and I am hoping one of these days it will actually snow in MY part of London rather than the measly ol’ frost!

Okay I am going to make a confession and I call it my guilty pleasure- Ireadtheentertainmentsectionofdailymaileveryday!! There!  I said it. I’m sure you get that my lack of spaces in that sentence was deliberate??

Any way, this post is going to cover the celebrity pictures I come across on the said paper.

Ok, so up first is our very own Liverpudlian, a famous WAG in her own right, Ms Alex Gerrard. I do like her style actually. She is always quite trendy and styles herself really well. It’s good she kept her makeup understated and focused on the eyes. I think anything more would’ve been an overkill. LOVE the Isabel Marant boots. Quite a few celebs have been seen wearing them around town. I love their red version too. They’re called the Isable Marant Berry boots with cut out appliqué. For £670 they’re definitely going to leave a dent in your bank account! To round off this look, I’m impartial to faux fur (not sure if it is fake in Alex’s case) and love the coat!

The next celeb is our very own X-factor judge, Tulisa not-going-to-try-spelling-lastname. Her style’s a bit hit and miss. Some times she looks nice and some times she does NOT!  Anyone who’s been following X-Factor would’ve been following the fashion choices of Tulisa. Needless to say, Nicole won hands down (not that I’m pitting them against each other……. On second thought, I AM!) One thing to remember about fierce footwear that Tulisa is wearing in this pic- DON’T wear chunky ankle boots if you’ve got slightly..um chubby is definitely not the right word here because she’s not…Actually she’s got short legs and these boots are making her legs look chunky. Not loving the dress, hairstyle, the belt around the waist with the gold studs…NO NO NO!

Moving on.

Ms Karolina K-k-k-k-urkova! One word for this look. FIERCE!!

Love the whole look. Very sharp, eye-popping colour, great way of breaking the look by adding black peep toe shoes and bag. And the best accessory of all- her dazzling smile! She ain’t a supermodel for nothing.

article-2244945-166821D2000005DC-574_306x730

Talking of supermodels. The other Victoria’s Secret angel who’s been getting massive amount of coverage is Ms Miranda Kerr. She’s followed around by paparazzi while taking flights, juggling her motherly duties with the cutest baby of all, going to work or business meetings and STILL looking fabulous. I love her and her style. She makes all this look so effortless. When I’m a mummy, I still hope I keep my sense of style and figure (??).

Love the smart look of her outfit. The Givenchy bag is one of my favourites and so are the Miu Miu shades she’s rocking. I do love Miranda’s collection of sunnies. She’s got some cool pairs.

Like her, I love buying sunglasses. I mean, living in London where there’s hardly any sun, most of you would think it’s a bit much. But hey! can’t help it. So my favourite one at the moment is the leopard print one in the middle. These sunnies are part of Miu Miu’s Fall 2011 collection. If anyone of you out there who loves me and wants to buy something nice for me this Christmas then I wouldn’t mind mentioning the one in the middle is on my wish list. *hint* *hint*

Right! Next up is none other than the lady who holds the Best Derriere spot- Pippa Middleton. She snapped here heading to her friend’s wedding reception in Northern Ireland. I like her choice of outfit. She balanced the blue with a camel coloured hat and an orange bag. I’m glad she didn’t go too matchy-matchy! Love the fur around the shoulders. All in all, a well pulled together outfit.

Pippa Middleton at Alex Roupell and Emma Logue wedding in Northern Ireland

While I am commenting on Ms Middleton, she was snapped walking arm in arm with her girlfriend. Her friend seems to be the risk taker and seems to be having fun with her outfit. Love the headpiece. I’m not sure if the flowers are part of her hat or they’re separate but either way, they’re are great attention grabber. I love how she’s matched the red clutch to the red flower in her hair and the way she’s cinched her waist with a belt. However, I do not like her choice of footwear. No matter how cold it is, I feel boots for a wedding are not appropriate footwear. You need to be a bit more formal which, sadly, these boots are not. But I definitely love the rest of the outfit.

Who has seen One Tree Hill? If you have then obviously you know about Sophia Bush. I am so used to seeing her in shoulder length slightly curly hair with a middle parting that the fringe is a nice change. It is definitely suiting her. And I like the casual-bordering-on-going-out look. I like the plaid print in her jacket finished with leather sleeves. A very versatile jacket that can be worn during the day or at night. I like.

article-0-16644490000005DC-436_306x652

Speaking of adding leather to the look, I admire Kristen Stewart’s looks. They are flawless every single time. I don’t know if I should credit her, her stylist of both of them. But they are doing an amazing job. I have been following her red carpet looks and there wasn’t one occasion where I could criticise her. Even in this look, it’s understated yet sharp. You don’t need to add anything else. Love the hair, the make up, the outfit and great job of ending the look with those red shoes. (I WANT THEM!)

Vanity Fair Screening Series Presented by Hugo Boss V.I.P Screening Of "On the Road"

There is no article about celebrity fashion without a mention of Ms Paltrow. A fashionista in her own right, this ageless beauty is a true fashion maven. Even on her flight back from Dubai, she is bringing home her effortless chic style. I love red! and I love the shape of this jacket. It looks really comfortable- loose sleeves, big collar and paired with skinny jeans; it really accentuates her figure really well. A bit of bling is always good so no wonder she needs those sunnies! And finished off that look with that bag- love the colour and it sits really well with the whole outfit. 10/10!!

article-0-16664C1E000005DC-37_634x817

And last but not the least. I mean all I can say to this is…

                                                                            BITCH PLEASE!!!!

Working the whole look doesn’t always refer to the clothes. It also refers to how you accessorise that whole look. Ever since I lost (read SOMEONE STOLE) my B&W C5 In ear headphones, I have been deprived of the musical experience my ears sooo badly deserve! And so like any normal person who wants a knowledgable opinion, I decided to search (google) the “intra webs” and voila! URBANEARS caught my eye straight away. Pardon me for browsing the UK Ask Men website but they had some good review about these babies!

“Style is key with these handsome headphones. Delightfully cushioned, these combine a cool, minimal design with matt rubbery texture and a subtle and comfy fabric headset. Add to that reasonable quality, full sound and a lightweight build and the result is a brilliant set of headphones suited to everyday use. For a sweet social feature, the ear cups also contain an extra headphone jack to plug in a second set, meaning you can share music with a friend/anyone who might require a bit of musical education.

And so I ordered the Plattan Plus Grape Headphones. Love the colour, love the simple design and LOVE the whole fun look. Let’s just wait and see how good they really are. All I know is “They betta WERK!!”

Their Plattan Harris Tweed version seems to be so popular, it has sold out already!! At £86 including shipping they don’t come cheap but if you want good music (which remains to be seen) AND style, then at least you’re getting the whole deal here compared to the Dre’s or the Bose. Plus they look more fun and cool!

Check out their website yourself:

When it’s Winter time, I can’t wear an all black outfit. Imagine you’ve eaten a full buffet and then you go and have a 3 course meal- OVERWHELMING!!!

I like to break mine up with some colour- be it a top, shoes or the accessories. Otherwise I may feel as if I’m going to a funeral. No offence to anyone who loves wearing black- it’s just me who can’t handle it.

So here’s how I broke my black streak.

Shoes: New Look
Black Leather Jacket: Lungta De Fancy
Leather effect tights: Miss Selfridge
Bag: Prada
Purple jumper: Zara

P.S: I’m not usually this serious :p

I always feel the visual merchandisers and the people who do the displays of all these clothing retailers are the silent soldiers and people who deserve true accolade for their hard work. I have found myself going into the store just because the window display was done so well that I wanted to go into the store and check out what they had to offer.

But those visual merchandisers who go a step forward and capture the theme of the whole nation take the gold medal hands down and are the unsung heroes. Speaking of gold medals, yes the theme is Olympics. I loved how some of the retailers truly captured the essence of what was and still is one of the most amazing and epic events to take London by storm. The Olympics 2012.

Two retailers who stood out the most with their eye catching window displays were Forever 21 and H&M. Kudos to the visual teams of both these stores who made a genuine effort translating the excitement into what were “athletically” creative displays! Loved the way Forever 21’s displays lit up during the day and moved around in a circle. Brilliant!!

I just think about how much work would have gone into suspending those male mannequins in the H&M displays and what an eye catching display it is-completely in line with the excitement and spirit of the Olympics. With Paralympics around the corner, here’s hoping more retailers will pay heed and jazz up their displays as well. Come on!! show some excitement!!

Anyone who follows my blog knows I hardly do any posts on other people. You must think, God! she must love herself too much. Where it is true I do love myself 😛 (I JOKE!!) I never wanted my blog to become one of those run of the mill street style blogs. Yet I find myself admiring quite a few girls who dress so well yet seems like they hardly put any thought into it yet managed to totally rock out in their outfit!

One such girl who has hit my radar is Vicki (I hope I spelt your name right!!) Every time I see her, she looks amazing. She mixes different styles. Case in point, the photo I have attached of her outfit. From her choice of trousers (TOPSHOP), to her studded collar top, the denim shirt with the embroidered detail and the vintage brogues- this is what uber cool and hipster is all about people! She mixes all these individual pieces so well that they form a synergy rather than stick out like a sore thumb! Show some love for my friend here! 😀 xxxx
