With Summer playing peek-a-boo and rain constantly showing its wrath on London, I have been feeling printed dresses and stockings lately. I like the concept of wearing bright stockings off setting a printed dress. Fuss free, stylish, versatile and simple. Share yours xx

Why hello there! I know it’s been quite a while since I posted something “meaty”. And by that I mean a post with lots and lots of fabulous clothes! A little late but keeping my promise to you that I would share my wedding outfits in detail- here I am! I did post a sneak preview (click here to view) of what I wore to my brother’s wedding but I thought I would post it in more detail here so you can get some inspiration and just enjoy the colours.
Weddings are never out of season. They happen come rain, snow or sun shine and there will always be a need for more wedding/party clothes. So I thought I would share some of the moments from the much anticipated event and get to show off my outfits too! 😉 It was a week long and 3-day official grand affair with lots of music, dancing, food, colour and not to mention loads and loads of colourful and glamourous outfits! I think I should let the photos do the talking. If you want to enquire more about the outfits, please do. I will be putting some up for sale too so watch this space! 😉 In the mean time, happy viewing. xx
Everyone loves a plain black dress. It could either be the centre of attention or act as a blank canvas for your accessories. Either way, everyone owns one, two or may be lots of black dresses in their wardrobe. For some, it’s an excuse to hide various “bulges” gathered during the hibernation..err.. I mean winter (Xmas) season. This look I did is styled on a statement piece- it could be a necklace, the bracelets or the dress itself. If you’ve got a black dress some where in your wardrobe, take it out and style it around to give it a new year spin!

One of my best adrenalin rushes I get is when I find a bargain. Especially when I can get away with getting something from a high street brand that I have seen at a designer outlet. Of course, that is not to disregard the designer brands. What I do believe in is that you don’t need to spend hundreds of pounds to look good. You should definitely spend extra on classics that stay in your wardrobe for years to come but if you still want to keep up with the trend, you can get away with getting cheaper options to last you a couple of seasons before you get rid of them.
So! My pick from the designer’s side is this gorgeous metallic-pink jacquard Mulberry dress that I absolutely adore. You can dress it up or dress it down- it will shine through. And it is very in keeping with the metallic trend this season. I found it on Net-A-Porter’s website (LOVE this website!!) and you can shop it here. Obviously for £495, this dress does not come cheap.
If you don’t want to spend hundreds of pounds on just one dress, then I have this amazing alternative from COS. This store is pretty much becoming one of my favourite stores. It is a hidden gem. Their emphasis on minimalism, simplicity, cuts and silhouette of the fabric is just spot on. The sculpted sequin dress is one of my favourite dresses from COS. And at £125, it is a bargain compared to the Mulberry dress but you’re still keeping up with the same trend. For me, the only thing you’re not getting is the Mulberry name. So if you want to buy this metallic silver sculpted sequin dress then click here.
Hope this post gave you some inspiration to go out and find your own “High St VS Designer” moment. Till my next post, stay passionate and stay fashionable!! 😉
The title of this post is not a deliberate jibe at the weather in London right now. Blue just happens to be one of my favourite colours and I have not worn it enough recently.
On my recent shopping trip, I went to COS. Truth be told, not a regular store I shop at but this time around I fell in love with some of their clothes, including the one in this post. What I love about their designs is the understated style and emphasis on the cut, silhouette and their attention to detail for instance the gold zip detail on the dress in this post.
The dress I am wearing looks very simple from the front which is why I accessorised it with a peter pan collar necklace I bought from H&M. But the back of this dress is what I fell in love with. The full length gold zip makes the dress look really sexy from the back. I wore my Kurt Geiger Vanika boots to finish off the whole look and the zips match! 😛 All in all a very classy and polished look.
Quick synopsis of the outfit:
Dress: COS, on sale for £30
Necklace: H&M for £7.99
Boots: Vanika by Kurt Geiger for £75 on sale. (Got the last pair from Harrods!!)
